Rich Creek School Of The Bible Class Guidelines
1. Class will begin promptly at 6:30 pm every Tuesday during the semester (unless otherwise rescheduled), and will end around 9:00 pm. Classes may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or conflicts with Church functions, but students will be notified in advance of schedule changes.
2. In order to receive course credit, students must attend 10 of the 13 classes during the semester. If any classes are missed, it will be the student’s responsibility to make up their notes for the week missed. Notebooks must be completed to receive course credit.
3. Classes will be approximately 40 minutes (minimum) in length with 5 minute breaks between classes. Our goal is to maximize instructional time and be considerate of the time of each student.
4. Classes will be conducted in a lecture style format. Any discussion or questions will be at the discretion of the instructor. Discussion will be limited, and any questions can be directed to the instructor on break times or after instructional hours. It will be the responsibility and intention of each instructor to maximize instruction on course material topics without deviation. This will be beneficial to the entire class.
5. Classes will be available to adults of all ages, and high school juniors and seniors are encouraged to attend. Minimum age limit will be at the discretion of the instructors, director, and pastor; and will depend upon the individual’s character and maturity level.
6. The cost for each class will be $20 per class (total of $60 for all 3 classes a semester). The cost will include the student’s notebook. There are additional recommended books (not required) that will provide supplemental material in relation to each of the class topics. Additional books must be purchased separately by the students. A listing of additional recommended books are located in the back of each student notebook.
7. Records of class attendance and completion will be maintained in electronic and hard copy format by the instructors and the director of The Rich Creek School Of The Bible.
8. Students will be required to meet dress code standards for The Rich Creek School Of The Bible consistent with dress standards of Rich Creek Baptist Church Ministry Standards:
Ø Ladies: Minimum of knee length skirts or dresses with modest (non-revealing) tops.
Ø Men: Minimum of a polo style shirt and pants. NO SHORTS, Tank tops, or T Shirts.
Ø Dress standards are set to glorify The Lord Jesus Christ, and provide a godly Christian learning environment.
9. Upon the completion of all 12 courses students are encouraged and invited to attend The School Of The Bible Commencement ceremony at The Crown College. For those wishing to attend Commencement there will be a $25 fee for cap, gown, and a beautifully-plaqued Biblical Studies Certificate.
